The North Nuaulu of Indonesia
The North Nuaulu of Indonesia, numbering about 750 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Alifuru highland people of Seram Island in Indonesia's Maluku Islands, named for the headwaters of the Nua River, forcibly relocated to the coast by Dutch colonial authorities after retaining headhunting customs into the 1940s.
They are an indigenous people in the Maluku-Central people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak North Nuaulu.
