The Amahai of Indonesia
The Amahai of Indonesia, numbering about 60 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an indigenous people of southern Seram Island in Maluku, closely related to other Central Maluku communities and traditionally associated with the Amahai area and its Austronesian heritage.
They are an indigenous people in the Maluku-Central people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Ambonese Malay.
