The Maanyak Dayak of Indonesia
The Maanyak Dayak of Indonesia, numbering about 199,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Dayak people of the Barito River basin in Central Kalimantan, Borneo, whose language is the closest living relative of Malagasy, the primary evidence that ancestors of Madagascar's population arrived there as traders' laborers over a thousand years ago.
They are an indigenous people in the Borneo-Kalimantan people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Ma'anyan.
