The Bolongan of Indonesia
The Bolongan of Indonesia, numbering about 40,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are descendants of a Kayan-founded riverine kingdom on Borneo's northeastern coast that converted to Islam in the 1700s and ruled as the Sultanate of Bulungan until Indonesian independence.
They are an indigenous people in the Borneo-Kalimantan people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Bolongan.
