The Lintang of Indonesia

The Lintang of Indonesia, numbering about 110,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a South Sumatran Malay community of the Lintang River and Empat Lawang region whose identity emerged through close association with neighboring Pasemah-related peoples while maintaining a distinct Lintang dialect and regional heritage.

They are an indigenous people in the Pasemah of Sumatra people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Central Malay.
