The Kluet of Indonesia
The Kluet of Indonesia, numbering about 56,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Batak subgroup of South Aceh along the Lawe Kluet River, whose language blends Alas, Aceh, and Minangkabau influences, historically organized as the Kluet kingdom under Acehnese influence, predominantly Muslim while keeping some animist traditions.
They are an indigenous people in the Aceh of Sumatra people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Batak Alas-Kluet.
