The Awera of Indonesia
The Awera of Indonesia, numbering about 80 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Indigenous Papuan people of Awera village at the mouth of the Wapoga River in Papua, identified with the Awera language, a distinct Lakes Plain language of the Cenderawasih Bay region.
They are an indigenous people in the New Guinea people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Indonesian.
