The Pesisir Kulon of Indonesia
The Pesisir Kulon of Indonesia, numbering about 5,420,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a coastal Javanese pesisir people of Banten in West Java, part of a maritime subculture whose first Muslim rulers came from the pesisir zone of central Java to found the Banten Sultanate, a major Islamic trading port until 1813.
They are an indigenous people in the Jawa people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Javanese.
