The Indo-Surinamese of Suriname
The Indo-Surinamese of Suriname, numbering about 134,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Indo-Caribbean people of Suriname descended from Indian indentured migrants, preserving the Sarnami language and cultural traditions rooted in both South Asian and Surinamese society.
They are an indigenous people in the Indo-Caribbean people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism, and they primarily speak Caribbean Hindustani.
