The Ani of China
The Ani of China, numbering about 5,200 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an indigenous Ani subgroup of the Aza peoples in Kaiyuan County, Yunnan, maintaining a distinct identity despite official inclusion within the Yi nationality and increasing assimilation into Han culture.
They are an indigenous people in the Other Tibeto-Burmese people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples. Their primary religion is Chinese Folk Religion, and they primarily speak Axi Yi.
