The Blang of Myanmar
The Blang of Myanmar, numbering about 16,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Paluang people descended from the ancient Pu, early tea cultivators of Yunnan since the Qin Dynasty, who came under Dai rule in the early 1300s and adopted Theravada Buddhism blended with local spirit beliefs tied to rice, water, and bees.
They are an indigenous people in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Theravada Buddhism, and they primarily speak Blang.
