The Tai Men of Laos

The Tai Men of Laos, numbering about 12,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Northern Tai people whose oral tradition traces their origin to Xieng Mene in Vietnam's Nghe An province, part of the Tai migration into Laos's river valleys beginning around the eighth century, settled in Borikhamxay Province's Khamkeut district.

They are an indigenous people in the Tai people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Tai Do.
