The Hmong Daw of Laos

The Hmong Daw of Laos, numbering about 294,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Hmong subgroup, called Hmoob Dawb or White Hmong in their own Romanized script, whose ancestors fled south from repeated 19th-century wars with Han Chinese settlers in the Yellow River basin to resettle in the highlands of Laos.

They are an indigenous people in the Miao / Hmong people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Chinese Folk Religion, and they primarily speak Hmong Daw.
