The Giay of Laos
The Giay of Laos, numbering about 8,700 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Tai-speaking branch of the wider Bouyei people, known in Laos as Nhang or Yang, whose communities form part of a cross-border homeland extending through northern Laos and Vietnam.
They are a diaspora people in the Bouyei people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Bouyei.
