The Bajau Bukit of Malaysia
The Bajau Bukit of Malaysia, numbering about 1,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a West Coast Bajau subgroup of Sabah descended from maritime communities that transitioned from sea nomadism to settled life while remaining part of the broader Bajau cultural tradition.
They are an indigenous people in the Borneo-Kalimantan people cluster of the Malay Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Papar.
