The Tarasag of Vanuatu
The Tarasag of Vanuatu, numbering about 1,600 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small Austronesian people of Gaua Island in Vanuatu's Banks Islands, whose Nume language received an Anglican prayer book translation around 1965 and is now centered on the village of Tarasag.
They are an indigenous people in the Vanuatu people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Nume.
