The North Raga (Lamalanga) of Vanuatu
The North Raga (Lamalanga) of Vanuatu, numbering about 12,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a northern Pentecost Island people whose Raga language, once called Lamalanga or Loltong by missionaries, is the most linguistically conservative on the island, preserving Proto-Oceanic vowel features, and ranks as Vanuatu's seventh-largest vernacular.
They are an indigenous people in the Vanuatu people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Hano.
