The Mortlockese of the Federated States of Micronesia
The Mortlockese of the Federated States of Micronesia, numbering about 5,900 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Chuukic Micronesian people of the outlying Mortlock Islands in Chuuk State, descended from settlers who migrated from Chuuk Lagoon eight centuries ago yet keep a distinct identity.
They are an indigenous people in the Micronesian people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Mortlockese.
