The Nipode of Peru

The Nipode of Peru, numbering about 125 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Witoto-speaking people of the Peru-Colombia Amazon border whose population, once numbering around 50,000, collapsed to as few as 7,000 under the early 20th-century Putumayo rubber boom atrocities overseen by Julio Cesar Arana's Peruvian Amazon Company.

They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Nüpode Huitoto.
