The Jaqaru of Peru
The Jaqaru of Peru, numbering about 2,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Aymaran-family people of Tupe and Catahuasi in Peru's Yauyos Province, a linguistic relict of the older, more central Aymaran presence that predates Aymara's later spread south to the Altiplano.
They are an indigenous people in the Aymara people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Jaqaru.
