The Kulina of Peru
The Kulina of Peru, numbering about 425 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Arawan people who call themselves Madiha, living along Peru's Purus and Santa Rosa rivers in the Ucayali region, who fled to the river headwaters to escape violent correrias raids by rubber gatherers during the late 19th-century rubber boom.
They are an indigenous people in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Culina.
