The Caquinte Campa of Peru

The Caquinte Campa of Peru, numbering about 450 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small Kampa-branch Arawakan people tracing origin to the mouth of Peru's Pogeni River, from which 19th-century conflict with the Ashaninka drove them upstream to their present headwater communities, where many now also speak Ashaninka or Matsigenka.

They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Caquinte.
