The Huilliche of Chile
The Huilliche of Chile, numbering about 244,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a southern branch of the Mapuche who settled Chiloe Island and the Toltén-to-Chiloe coastline in the mid-1400s, speaking the related Chesungun tongue and concentrated today around San Juan de la Costa and Compu-Chadmo.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Spanish.
