The Toba-Maskoy of Paraguay
The Toba-Maskoy of Paraguay, numbering about 550 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Maskoy people of the Paraguayan Chaco whose Toba ancestors migrated from Argentina around 1870 fleeing persecution to settle Alto Paraguay, later suffering land loss and smallpox epidemics alongside neighboring peoples during the 1932-35 Chaco War era.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Toba-Maskoy.
