The Maca of Paraguay

The Maca of Paraguay, numbering about 1,200 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a once-nomadic Chaco people who adopted a horse-based lifestyle after eighteenth-century contact along the Rio Bermejo, later guiding Paraguayan soldiers during the 1930s Chaco War and receiving land as a presidential reward for their wartime service.

They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Maca.
