The Xerente of Brazil
The Xerente of Brazil, numbering about 3,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Central Je people of Tocantins who call themselves Akwe, forming with the Xavante the central branch of Brazil's Je societies, their 250 years of outsider contact since the 19th century staying largely peaceful without eroding native-language fluency.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Xerénte.

- Ephesians 5:8. Pray that those walking in darkness will turn to the light and live as children of light.
