The Surui of Brazil
The Surui of Brazil, numbering about 1,200 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Indigenous Mondé people of Rondônia and Mato Grosso who call themselves Paiter, maintain a distinct Tupi-Mondé cultural identity, and inhabit the Sete de Setembro territory along the Amazon frontier.
They are an indigenous people in the Guarani people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Suruí.
