The Piraha of Brazil
The Piraha of Brazil, numbering about 425 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are the sole surviving subgroup of the Mura people, self-named Hiaitiihi or the straight ones, living as hunter-gatherers along Brazil's Maici River after splitting from the main Mura tribe long before its 1714 first contact.
They are an indigenous people in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Pirahã.
