The Kuruaya of Brazil
The Kuruaya of Brazil, numbering about 150 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tupian people of the lower Xingu tributaries in Para state, encountered shortly after the Amazon's occupation around 1685, reduced to just 30 individuals by 1934 and now down to a single fluent speaker of their language.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Portuguese.
