The Krikati of Brazil

The Krikati of Brazil, numbering about 900 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Eastern Timbira people who call themselves Kricatije, originally settled near the Rio Tocantins before relocating to Maranhao, whose population collapsed from 2,000 to just 200 by the 1960s after 1920s conflict with a rancher scattered them.

They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Krikati-Timbira.
