The Kreen-Akakore of Brazil
The Kreen-Akakore of Brazil, numbering about 475 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Central Brazilian people properly called Panara, nicknamed Kreen-Akarore, meaning round-cut head, by neighboring Kayapo before 1973 government contact triggered influenza epidemics that killed up to 90 percent of their population within two years.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Panará.
