The Kaxarari of Brazil
The Kaxarari of Brazil, numbering about 325 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Panoan people of the Amazonas-Rondonia border whose population, near 2,000 in 1910, was reduced to fewer than 200 by the early 1980s through violent attacks by rubber extractors and disease before their territory was formally demarcated in 1978.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Kaxararí.
