The Animpokoimo of Brazil

The Animpokoimo of Brazil, numbering about 45 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are one of roughly a dozen small Cariban groups, including the Xerew, Katwena, Mawayana, and Tutumo, that migrated north along Brazil's Trombetas basin ahead of an advancing frontier before missionaries gathered them in the 1940s into the Waiwai community.

They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Waiwai.
