The Kadiweu of Brazil

The Kadiweu of Brazil, numbering about 1,900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are the last surviving Mbaya people, historically called horsemen Indians for their equestrian raiding culture, recruited by Emperor Dom Pedro II to fight Paraguay in the 1864-70 War of the Triple Alliance and rewarded with Brazil's first Indigenous reserve.

They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Kadiwéu.
