The Guajajara of Brazil
The Guajajara of Brazil, numbering about 24,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Tenetehara Tupi-Guarani people of Maranhão who inhabit the eastern margin of the Amazon and share common ancestry with the Tembé, from whom they diverged through nineteenth-century migration and territorial expansion.
They are an indigenous people in the Guarani people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Guajajára.
