The Karitiana of Brazil
The Karitiana of Brazil, numbering about 400 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a semi-nomadic Amazonian people of Rondonia belonging to the Arikem branch of the Tupi language family, first referenced by Brazil's 1909 Rondon Commission but successfully avoiding systematic outside contact until the 1950s.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Karitiâna.
