The Ava-Canoeiro of Brazil, numbering about 70 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Amazonian people of Goias and Tocantins in Brazil, descended from Carijo relocated from Sao Paulo in the 1720s, who fiercely resisted colonial contact for centuries and now survive only in a tiny remnant population from interethnic marriages.
They are an indigenous people in the Guarani people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Avá-Canoeiro.
