The Cuiba of Venezuela
The Cuiba of Venezuela, numbering about 650 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a nomadic Guahiban people who call themselves Wamonae, whose hunter-gatherer bands along the Colombia-Venezuela border first encountered Europeans in 1533 during the search for El Dorado, later displaced by ranchers during 1950s civil war violence.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Cuiba.
