The Garifuna of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
The Garifuna of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, numbering about 2,400 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Afro-Indigenous people of Central America's Caribbean coast descended from African, Arawak, and Kalinago ancestors. They speak Garifuna, an Arawakan language, and maintain a distinct maritime cultural heritage.
They are a diaspora people in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Garifuna.
