The Patamona of Guyana
The Patamona of Guyana, numbering about 5,300 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Pakaraima Mountains people who call themselves Kapon, meaning people of the sky, not contacted until the early 19th century, whose sacred Kaieteur Falls is tied to the legend of chief Old Kaie sacrificing himself to appease the great spirit Makonaima.
They are an indigenous people in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Patamona.
