The Belizean Creoles of Belize
The Belizean Creoles of Belize, numbering about 158,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a distinct Afro-Creole ethnic community indigenous to Belize. They emerged through the interaction of enslaved Africans, British settlers (known as Baymen), and later other Caribbean and local populations during the colonial period of British Honduras.
They are an indigenous people in the Afro-American people cluster of the North American Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Catholicism, and they primarily speak Belize Kriol English.
