The Shona-Karanga of Zimbabwe
The Shona-Karanga of Zimbabwe, numbering about 2,470,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a south-central Shona dialect cluster descended from the Gumanye people who built Great Zimbabwe, the stone capital that from the 13th century anchored a kingdom exporting gold through Swahili coastal trade networks.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Shona people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Shona.
