The Aushi of Zambia
The Aushi of Zambia, numbering about 199,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Bemba-speaking but culturally distinct people of Zambia's Luapula Province, one of a dozen greater Bemba groups whose oral tradition traces migration from the Luba-Lunda Kola homeland into the Luapula-Mweru lake basin.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-South people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Aushi.
