The Yaka of Angola
The Yaka of Angola, numbering about 311,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Angolan-origin people whose 16th-century migrants settled Kwango under Kongo influence before Lunda conquerors led by King Kabamba founded a 17th-century kingdom blending Kongo and Lunda traditions, renowned for mbwoolo sculpture and slit-drum music.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-South people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Yaka (Congo).
