The Lunda of Angola
The Lunda of Angola, numbering about 401,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bantu people whose Lunda Empire, founded in the 1500s after a Luba prince married Lueji A'Nkonde, traded ivory and slaves with Arabs and Portuguese until Chokwe incursions eroded it, its heartland partitioned among Angola, Congo, and Zambia in 1884.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-South people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Lunda.
