The Haya of Uganda
The Haya of Uganda, numbering about 114,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bantu people of the Haya ethnic group, descended from communities centered in the Kagera region of northwestern Tanzania whose historical homeland extends into southern Uganda along Lake Victoria.
They are a diaspora people in the Bantu, Central-Lakes people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Haya.
