The Alur of Uganda
The Alur of Uganda, numbering about 1,350,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Nilotic Luo people of northwestern Uganda and northeastern Congo near Lake Albert, formed during 18th-century migrations of Luo speakers from South Sudan that also produced the related Acholi and Jonam peoples.
They are an indigenous people in the Nilotic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Alur.
