The Mwanga of Tanzania
The Mwanga of Tanzania, numbering about 252,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bantu people of Tanzania's Momba District and northeastern Zambia whose oral tradition traces origin to northeast Africa around 900 BC, still ruled by a king based in Tanzania who appoints a chief for the Zambian Namwanga.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-Tanzania people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Nyamwanga.
