The Jita of Tanzania
The Jita of Tanzania, numbering about 602,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an ethnic and linguistic community of northwestern Tanzania, living mainly along the southeastern shore of Lake Victoria in the Mara Region, especially around Musoma District.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-Lakes people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is African Traditional Religion, and they primarily speak Jita.
