The Goroa of Tanzania

The Goroa of Tanzania, numbering about 186,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a South Cushitic people, also called Fyomi, who settled Tanzania's Manyara and Dodoma regions roughly 250-300 years ago, comprising 30-35 percent of Babati District's population, whose language indirectly named Babati via a German official's mishearing.

They are an indigenous people in the Rift people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Gorowa.
